Westcon Group Launches MobilityPoint
TMCnet Contributing Editor
Westcon Group, a specialty distributor in networking, convergence, security and mobility, has launched MobilityPoint, a partner enablement program designed to help resellers capture mobility opportunities within the end-user community. MobilityPoint will be offered along with ConvergencePoint, SecurityPoint and CollaborationPoint.
Chris Metaxas, vice president of business development, Westcon Group, said, “MobilityPoint is truly a groundbreaking program that enables resellers to increase their profitability by providing recognizable business value to the end-user community. The program is built on value-driven enablement principles that bring together precisely the right vendor solutions, professional services expertise and market knowledge. Currently, Westcon Group is the only distributor that can help resellers deliver this level of value to end-users.”
Resellers can use targeted mobility solutions through MobilityPoint to drive end-user value. Helping resellers to identify and exploit new mobile revenue opportunities, Westcon has developed a comprehensive ‘four pillar enablement strategy.’ The strategy consists of sales enablement, professional services enablement, business value/solution enablement and execution enablement.
A number of best-of-breed companies in the wireless space participate in MobilityPoint’s manufacturer program. The participating companies include leading companies such as Aruba, Cisco, Hitachi Cable, Nokia (
