Envox Worldwide Introduces Envox 7.1 Platform

TMCnet Contributing Editor

Envox (News - Alert) Worldwide has launched Envox 7.1 which is a next generation open, standards-based communications development platform.

The platform allows organizations to significantly reduce time, cost and complexity of developing and deploying voice and IP communications solutions, by offering more capabilities for video, IP communications and automatic speech recognition.

"IP communications is changing the basic foundation upon which all communication is based and is opening up new opportunities to make organizations more efficient and more responsive to the needs of their customers and employees," said Leo Casey, president and CEO of Envox Worldwide, in a statement, "Organizations that can leverage these new capabilities will be tomorrow's leaders. Envox 7.1, like no other communications development platform today, combines a state-of-the-art collection of IP voice and video capabilities with compelling price/performance advantages enabling organizations to adopt this new foundation and optimize call center and enterprise communication like never before."

Using Envox 7.1 speech, video messaging, streaming video, email, fax and SMS can be integrated to create IVR, IVVR, outbound dialing, multi- modal contact center, video customer service and unified communications solutions.

Envox 7.1 gives significant price and performance advantages for high-volume deployments, making it the ideal choice for service providers who offer IP telephony, voice self service/IVR, conferencing, video or voice-based entertainment services and thereby boost customer satisfaction and retention.

"Envox Worldwide has hit the mark with this release," said Peter Edel, advanced technology manager at Quentris, in a statement, "They continue to embrace new communications technologies, such as streaming video, and incorporate them seamlessly into the Envox Communications Development Platform. The blend of traditional voice capabilities, IP telephony, video, SMS, email, and fax capabilities in a single, high-performance communications platform simplifies our development efforts greatly and allows us to provide our customers with customer service solutions and revenue-generating services that set them apart from their competitors."

The platform already features a graphical programming environment which reduces development time by 50 percent or more and also has a proven solution for voice over IP (VoIP) deployments with flexibility to implement voice solutions in IP, TDM, and mixed networks. It also has an embedded VoiceXML (News - Alert) browser for seamless execution of VoiceXML scripts and applications and supports Web services which streamline integration with enterprise applications and data warehouses.
